Anaconda

Hi everybody!
On my last post I asked what reptile I should do for my next care sheet, you picked an Anaconda. So here's the care sheet!

How big do Anacondas get?

Anacondas can get up to 10 meters long and 550 pounds.

Can Anacondas be pets?

To legally own an Anaconda as a pet you will need to have a special license for handling deadly animals. Most of the time, it is simply illegal to possess an anaconda because of the danger involved.

Are Anacondas poisonous?

Anacondas are not poisonous. They do not need venom because they are so big, all they need to do is strangle their prey, to eat.

What are the Anacondas predators?

When they are young they have a couple of predators such as, Jaguars, Caimons, large birds and crocodile. As the Anaconda gets older and bigger they become the top of the food chain, but still have one predator, humans.

Where are Anacondas from?

Anacondas are found east of the Andes in Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and on the island of Trinidad and Tobago.

What do Anacondas eat?

Anacondas eat birds, chicken, goose, fish, and capybara.

Thank you for reading,
Bye!

  1. Do Anacondas prey on humans? Or do they just strangle them when a human tries to attack them? What I'm trying to get at: DO ANACONDAS EAT PEOPLE?
